Synopsis

Housekeeping or 5S is methodology using 5 elements to improve working conditions in a workplace or organization. The Japanese words Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and Shitsuke are used to identify the methodology of Systematic Cleaning-up (Seiri), Sorting, Scrubbing Clean, Standardisation and Self-Discipline respectively. This course is specifically tailored for all staff intending to keep their work areas clean, safe and reduce operation time thus reducing waste.

Participants will have a better knowledge of keeping their operating stations in an organized, cleaner and safer environment with the application of the 5S concept.

Who should attend

This course is suitable for all staff in an organization from operator level, clerical, supervisory and executive levels to managers.

Prerequisite

Participants are not required to have any special background but have intention and willingness to improve the environment of the work station be it in the office, store or production floors.

This course is presented in lectures with photographs as examples for maximum understanding.
